Very nice restaurant, cozy atmosphere. Very delicious food, made with love and very friendly staff, they really care about their guests. We really liked it and we will definitely come back on our next vacation. Definitely one of the best places I could eat.

Two days earlier in the evening we went to the boss personally to reserve a table for 7 people. We even talked about the length of stay and the occupancy times of the tables. I was really happy to have found a somewhat secluded table for us. "I'm looking forward to you" was the statement when leaving. Yesterday evening at 19:25 (19:30 was reserved for us) the statement that we had reserved for 7 people at 19:30 elicited an "Oh!": There were still guests at our table. Neither the waitress nor the boss were able to clarify the situation to everyone's satisfaction. No, we were given the following choice: 1. Wait until the guests leave, around 8:00 p.m. (restaurant closes at 9:30 p.m.) so we would have had 90 minutes to choose the drinks and food, prepare and eat. During this time we should have stood in front of the door, as ordered and not picked up, should have waited. 2. A new reservation for the following day. Which of course would have worked smoothly as before ??? And what should we have eaten today? Fortunately, there are other restaurants on Borkum that understand their craft and we have found good accommodation elsewhere. Unfortunately not to be recommended as it is unreliable.

We weren't there and can't comment on the food or the ambience. We made a request by email for a celebration, as this is also advertised on the website, unfortunately we did not even receive a response.

I have to say you really care about your guests, we were welcomed in a friendly manner and served nicely, the cef came to every guest's table and the food was nicely presented, everything tasted great, everything was very reasonably priced. From my point of view, the focus of the menu is on steak and fish. We will recommend you and come back again! What I didn't like that much is the furnishings, which are rather rustic for the oak generation, here and there it needs an upgrade

We can recommend the Störtebeker unreservedly. The new owners, the Kortmann family, offer delicious food, beautifully presented, in a suitable atmosphere. Anyone who expects a super modern interior at a restaurant "Störtebeker" has probably misunderstood something. The furnishings are appropriate, neat, tidy and clean. All service staff are super friendly. Mr. Kortmann also takes care of his guests himself. The food was delicious, we found the quality to be impeccable and the presentation of the dishes was great. So, nothing to complain about, we'd love to come back ... even if it's probably only next year.
